The analysis software CiteSpace was used to carry out visual analysis of 662 CSSCI literatures on network governance or Internet governance included in CNKI database from 2004 to 2019, and statistics were carried out with Excel and other software to grasp the research context and current situation of network governance from a quantitative perspective. Through the co-occurrence analysis of authors and research institutions, the analysis of highly cited literature, the co-occurrence analysis of keywords, the clustering analysis of keywords and the mutation analysis of keywords, the paper presents the development context, research characteristics and research topic distribution of domestic network governance research field. The hot spots of domestic network governance research include network governance contents, network governance subjects and network governance objectives. The research frontiers focus on big data, network sovereignty and Internet +. Future research on network governance should focus on the integration of knowledge of different disciplines and conduct governance research in the dynamic process of development and evolution of cyberspace.
