Abstract:Internet communication is characterized by fragmented content, complicated channels, over-entertainment forms, and arbitrary discourse. It can erode and destroy the integrity, dominance, permeability, and deceptiveness of mainstream ideology in college communication, which directly affects students’ cognition and recognition of mainstream ideology. Colleges and universities should respond more effectively to deal with the communication difficulties of mainstream ideology and fulfill the fundamental task of strengthening moral education and cultivating people under the network environment by establishing virtual practice platforms, reinforcing technical intervention in the communication process, creating internet discourse of mainstream ideology, building professional network communication teams and improving their network literacy.
